Barbara is a Director at Tofias and is in charge of the Personal Financial Planning Group. She joined Tofias in 1991. Barbara does fee-only comprehensive financial planning, and advises individuals on their personal finances and investments. Her expertise includes areas such as investments, insurance, estate planning, cash flow, retirement analysis, elder care issues, and educational funding.

Barbara is a Certified Financial Planner™ and is the Director of Career Development of The Financial Planning Association of Massachusetts. She served on the advisory board to Boston University's Program for Financial Planners. She has been featured in the Money Manager column of the Boston Herald and quoted in various publications. Barbara is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics, Summa Cum Laude, from Boston College. She earned her Financial Planning Certification from Boston University.
