John Scott Longstaff, CFP®, is a principal and founding member of
the registered investment advisory firm of Beechwood Wealth
Advisors, LLC. Mr. Longstaff has worked in private practice since
1984, limiting his practice to life wealth management.
John is a past National President and National Chairman of the Board for the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP) and a past board member of the Board of Professional Review (BOPR) of the CFP Board of Standards.
John is a graduate of the University of the Pacific (UOP) School of Business and Public Administration with a Bachelor of Science in Business. He was conferred with his Certified Financial Planner® designation from the CFP Board of Standards, through the University of Southern California (USC).
John continues to serve his profession and community as a mentor for the FPA Residency Program, a member and Past President of the Fresno Estate Planning Council and a member and Past President of the FPA (Financial Planning Association) of Central California. John is a past President and past treasurer of the Fresno State Baseball Dugout Club and also serves on the Board of Elders for his church, New Hope Community of Clovis CA.
Pre-retirement, retirement and financial planning consultation for Corporate and Public entities include Cargill, Inc., Southern California Edison (Edison International) and the California State Teachers' Retirement System (STRS). John has lectured in the school of business at California State University, Fresno and is listed in the 1995 Who's Who of Executive Professionals.
